biography

Noura Hodhodi is an Iranian composer, classical guitarist based in Amsterdam.

She currently studies composition at the Conservatory of Amsterdam with Willem Jeths, and Richard Ayreş.

Her music blends contemporary classical elements with rich acoustic textures and combines with Iranian traditional music elements often inspired by literature, visual art and nature. She writes for a variety of instrumentations.

Noura’s music has been performed nat multiple events, including the Bruckner Festival in Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ and the Hear and Now Festival in De Duif, Amsterdam.
